Today, one of my favorite filmmakers, Luc Besson, is celebrating World Environment Day. In his role as distributor, Besson is using YouTube to promote his latest project: Home, a 50-minute film directed by Yann Arthus-Bertrand dedicated to our beautiful planet. The film is also being released in over 50 countries — in movie theatres, TV, DVD and online.
The Home project’s YouTube channel page notes, “the aim of director Yann Arthus-Bertrand, distributor Luc Besson and François-Henri Pinault, chairman and CEO of PPR, the film’s official sponsor, is to reach the widest possible audience, and to convince us all of our individual and collective responsibility towards the planet.”
The visuals are spectacular, and the messages unforgettable.
Below is the trailer, just to give you a taste. But if you want to experience the full 50-minute film online, you can click here — although it will only be available on YouTube until June 14.
