As I was writing this, the sky was softly crying, as were likely a lot of people — openly, or silently in their hearts; for me, both.
I remember sharing lunch with him often, here in the office after my own Dad’s passing.
In many ways, he was a deep and obvious connection with my Dad; someone w
ho was there when “that happened”, or saw “that”, heard “that”, etc. I never told Uncle Paul that outright, but I think he knew.
Always appreciative of a good joke, we did share one last week; although he didn’t laugh out loud, there was a gentle squeeze of my hand that told me, “I got it.”
Recent weeks aside, his was a life truly lived, with the spirit and strength of a lion, and stories to spare … of the grandchildren whom he adored, the many multicultural publishers, printers and advertisers who knew and worked with him, to Tony Bennett, Angie Dickinson, and all in between. I, among many, many others, will miss him.

Since the day I met him, Uncle Paul was so wonderful to me personally and I have beautiful memories of the ten years during which I had the pleasure of knowing him. Love, Jenn
