As a few of us here are making some final preparations for our DMS Multicultural Publishers’ Networking Event happening tomorrow night, I realized it had been almost a couple of weeks since my last post. (One of the things I’ve come to learn about blogging, is that sometimes keeping it short and sweet isn’t necessarily a bad thing … just as long as you provide some relevant, meaningful, and interesting content on somewhat of a regular schedule. So, this one’s going to be short — but, hopefully meaningful.)
So, with tomorrow night and the value of community being top of mind, it reminded my of smashlab, out of Vancouver; and specifically, that Eric Karjaluoto, their Creative Director, recently posted a great white paper on social media — what it is (and isn’t), why it’s important, pitfalls to avoid, etc. A pretty good ‘primer’ for those not that familiar with what’s happening online these days.
