It’s truly amazing the amount of April Fool’s stuff you can find on the web: everything from the fake Canadian airline press release and flying penguins, to vintage “Swiss spaghetti” and Russian newspaper coverage …. even the odd reality check …

I saw that “Clicked” had a fairly comprehensive list, especially making note of this site …

However, closer to home, it looks like an interesting Corriere Canadese article (by a ‘well informed’ “Francesco V. Domenech”) received some international attention today … here and here. There’s probably a few more mentions (apparently, a few Italian newspapers picked it as a best “Canada” prank), but needless to say it stopped a few people in their tracks … I mean, who could imagine soccer stars Zidane and Materazzi close to closing a deal that would see them play together on the Toronto FC(!).
